Friends of Westmill Church Lottery
The FOWC Lottery is organised for the benefit of "Friends of Westmill Church". You pay a subscription of £2 per number for one or more numbers and get the chance to win a cash prize every month!
What happens to the money?
The total income from numbers sold each month will be calculated. Half the total will be returned to members in the form of prizes. The remainder will be paid into the "Friends of Westmill Church" account.
How much does it cost?
The cost of each number is £2 and each number purchased will be entered a monthly draw. You can purchase as many numbers as you like. The more numbers you subscribe to, the higher your chances of winning.
Payment can be made by cash or cheque (to Friends of Westmill Church) for the month or months you wish to be entered in the draw. Please contact the administrators for more details.
Who can join?
The FOWC Lottery is open to anyone over the age of 18.
How does the draw work?
When you have paid your subscription, your number
(or numbers) will be reserved for you. Your
numbers will be given to you when the administrator receives your
subscription. Numbered tokens which have been subscribed to will be
put into a tombola and drawn at random in front of witnesses.
Only those numbers that are paid for will go into the next draw
which will be held on the first Tuesday of every month. Since
the lottery started, over £100 has gone to the FOWC funds each month
and the equivalent amount out in prize money is distributed to the lucky winners.
The time and place of each draw will be publicised.
Do it today!
"Friends of Westmill Church" are most grateful to Liz Holland and Jan James who have agreed to organise and run this fund raising activity.
For more information, please contact the administrators who will be pleased to explain all aspects of this club.
The Small Print
The FOWC Lottery is registered by East Herts District Council under the lotteries act and a promoter is appointed each year by "Friends of Westmill Church" for this and any other lotteries they run. If there are any complaints regarding the running of the FOWC Lottery they should be directed to the administrators in the first place or to "Friends of Westmill Church" officers if you are not satisfied with any initial response.
