I do have the ancestral line from Charles to me. Incidentally the surname comes up variously as Summons, Simmon(d)s etc.
Any family background would help particularly about Charles' daughter Eliza (my great grandma)born 1848.

I hope to visit Westmill in April on a visit from Spain to do some ancestry research. I appear to be a direct descendant of Charles Sammons (Salmons)who was born in Westmill c1810. The family lived in various places such as Aspenden and Layston.
Does anyone know anything about the family?
Does anyone have a copy of Guy Ewing's book about Westmill which contains a photo of a Mr. Sammons of Westmill?
Any info appreciated.

My sister and I visited there 3 years ago and I had such a feeling of peace. It is such a beautiful church. We lived in Westmill in 1945 until we left for America. We lived in Pilgrim's Row and I remember attending the church but certainly appreciate it more now. How wonderful to see the love people have for it. I hope the amount needed for full restoration is received.

Photographic Exhibition
22nd & 23rd September 2012
Following the success of last years photographic exhibition and subsequent calendar, Friends of Westmill Church (FOWC) are holding another exhibition again this year.
As part of the exhibition, we will again be asking visitors to vote for their favourite photographs so we can produce a calendar for 2013 to be sold in aid of Friends of Westmill Church.
It's not too late to submit an entry either! For more details, please look at the Forthcoming Events page on this website!
